Default High performance brake pads for street use

Can anyone recommend replacement brake pads for street use that will provide higher performance than the stock pads? Or should I stick with stock?

I have been pleased with the Porterfield R-4S. No squeel kevlar with a better bite and no dust.

The representative from Applied Rotor Tech suggested an "aggressive carbon pad". Any suggestions anyone?

I will continue to use Porterfield R4S on the street. Better friction levels but more dust and a little noise. They are considered an "aggressive carbon pad".

But the stocks pads are pretty good and half the price.

i would of course suggest Endless CCX brake pads, but they're bucks$$$$ (the only downside).

ben@bulletproofautomotive.com (one of the site sponsors) carries the porterfields, and sells a lot of them. I believe he will be offering a GB on the porterfields next week.

I have Spoon Cross Drilled Rotors RT, maybe they sweep it away but no dust to speak of.

I, too, am happy with the Porterfield R4-S pads.

I put them on three months/2500 miles ago for the track (I also recommend DOT 4 fluid), with the intention of taking them off for the street, but now I'm addicted to them.

Much better stopping power, and I haven't had noticeably more noise, but I do get a lot of dark dust.
