Default Higher H.P. S2000 in the works ??

With the new 350Z out -- perhaps Honda will boost the HP output of the S ?? I am dreaming of a VTEC 6Cyl, or a factory turbo....

No one has heard any rumors -- have they?

i dunno but ive seen pics of a Factory TURBO Civic SI displayed by HONDA at SEMA..... i know this could just be a scheme to get people to buy the slow selling Si, but the idea that Honda would have a Turbo (and took the time to even mock up an automobile with the turbo) on one of their "sports" cars may be a hint to some of Hondas future ventures.

Lets face it guys......Honda is slow...very slow and careful with what they put on the market. I'd be shocked if i ever saw a factory turbo from Honda! My bet is maybe we will get the type v for a year or so....the year before the redesign to keep sales brisk. I see a redesign for 2005. I see a bigger displacement 4 cyl. The s2000 lives by the high rev's ...i think they will want to keep that in the redesign. If they go 6 cyl
pray for a straight 6. not a big fan of v's. Throws the balance of the car off.

Look at what Honda did back in the 60s with their little roadsters. Honda's first roadster was built back in the early 60's. It was the S360, 33hp at 9,000 RPMs, next came the S500 44hp at 9,500 RPMs, next came the S600 57hp at 8,500 RPMs, and finally 10 years later, the S800 with its 70hp at 8,000 RPMs.

Will history repeat itself ??? Will Honda continue to bump the Horse Power to keep pace with the competition ?? I hope so.
