Default Highest Displacement? In Liters

This guy at a honda tech car meet was trying to tell me that the F motor can't be made over a 2.2 and I was trying to tell his ass that that's cuz I've got a hyper rev mag that sells 2.3's from Feels, J's Racing etc...

Also, this guy with an S2 was saying that he hade bumped his up to a 2.5...

Just wondering the possibilities????

no idea what the max you could make an S2000 engine to, but there is the 2.5 liter inlinepro engine.

I believe 2.5 is the max... not enough cylinder wall left at that point to bore it any further, from what I've heard.. dont know if stroke could be increased any further at that point either.

you can't bore the F20C out much at all. Only a few thousandths of an inch so that you can rehone the walls a few times for a rebuild. This adds a negligible amount of displacement.

the displacement increases are from stroking, not boring. Take a look at a stock S2000 block. You'll see that the space between cylinders is small.

YES YES!! This Is True...

That's how Honda made the F22 from the F20, by stroking the motor up a bit

both boring and stroking increase displacement. but like steven said, there is not much room to bore the f20 block. also, stroking and engine is going to lower the redline (for obvious reasons). 2.5L seems to be the highest as of right now.
