The Pursuit of Dreams-the first 50 years of Honda

Some friends have asked me about this book and where I bought it. I found it about a year ago at Borders. It's a hard bound 210+ page 'coffee table' style book that offers some history on S500, S600, and the S800. Also, there is a chapter on the (then) upcoming new S2000 titled "Sports Car of the New Century."

I've never heard anyone else talk this book, nor have I seen at any book stores. Recently, I stumbled across it on the following link: www.lockhartphillipsusa.com/books.html with the following description.

Pursuit of dreams is a complete biography of the first 50 years of Honda. it contains details of past, present and future
projects. Including the many developments made in racing and motor technology. Includes photos of the famous 8
valve oval piston V-fours, as well as F1 and passenger car innovations. This book details everything the company has
done to become who they are today.
906-257.......................................$39.95

I have no interest in promoting this book other than to say it is one of the most complete stories on Honda I have ever found. Great photo's from the earliest bikes thru F-1 engine development and the SSM concept car.

I also found a cool coffee table book on Honda history. I got it at either Borders or Barnes and Noble in Tucson AZ. I bought it and I've never seen another copy. It is called "Honda: Portrait of an International Brand" by Clauspeter Becker and Jurgen Lewandowski (yes, the book is in English) put out by Delius Klasing Publishing. From the credits, it looks like it was translated to English from German, with rights residing with HONDA Deutschland GmbH (does this mean that the book was published by rights from Honda of Germany? Honda USA should put a book out). It has a great history about Soichiro Honda and his early engineering and patent work (practically every car manufacturer uses a part or process that has been patented by him). Also great history in both motorcycle and automobile racing.
