Default Hit from behind

As a registered "old" s2000 driver, I need some encouragement. I was hit from the rear by an Izusu Rodeo while stopping for a fire truck crossing the intersection. Bottom line I stopped he did not. I just took it in to the shop for repair today. I'm upset and depressed. The car wasn't two months old yet. It's beautiful I put bras on the front and mirrors because I don't like dings. I'll tell you how it comes our from the garage. Nothing is as ever as good as new, but we'll see.
In 39 years of driving I've never had an accident - be it my fault or someone else's. I'm upset! If the firemen had not stopped to see how we were, I may have done things I don't want to talk about to the other driver. Next time I see emergency lights and fire engine, maybe I should speed up. (just kidding)
Enjoy your S2000's and watch out for the non-alert fools on the road. They are everywhere.

On the Bay Bridge (SF) a couple days ago, the guy in front me stopped hard, so I braked kind of hard. Thankfully, I had a lot of room in front of me so I didn't have to screech the tires. I looked in my mirror and the guy behind me came VERY close to hitting me. He looked relieved when he stopped in time.

A few seconds later, I hear a loud "SCREEEECH" and heard that sickening crunch of metal and plastic. I looked in my mirror and it turns out someone had hit the dark blue VW bug that was two cars behind me. He looked very distraught and upset.

At least you didn't get injured. Make sure the body shop uses OEM PARTS ONLY. I have seen what body shops do to save cash and its the furtherest thing from OEM you can imagine. Any frame damage?

bummer, man. Sorry to hear about it. I got behind a truck today and got a tiny rock chip in the windshield and was a little upset. Guess this puts my problems in perspective. Good luck with the repairs.

I can sympathize. I once had an old Corvette and was hit from behind in a 4 car accident just one day before putting the car away for the winter (when I lived up north). Go to a quality shop and insist on original Honda parts. Hope it goes well. -Ken

I got hit from behind last month (minor paint damage to bumper) in stop-and-go traffic. I'm still a little edgy in stop and go traffic and find myself checking my rearview mirror to see if the moron behind me is going to stop. Silly, I know, but I can't help it.

When I got hit, I happened to be checking my mirror and I saw the moron slam into me. His head was down and it was clear he wasn't paying any attention. He was an uninsured loser to boot.
