ow.. hopefully things will happen in your favor. btw.. how the body panels will look will depend on how bad the hit was. i fell asleep in a 6 hour drive in traffic and hit the person in front of me at around 10 mph. my bumper was cracked and my driver side light's bolts doesnt line up anymore and some of the splashguards.

everything is fixed now, my body shop did a small chasis repull, fix and repositioned my headlights, painted and shaved the front bumper, .. for about 100 for a used bumper, 200 repaint + shaving, 100 for chasis repull, so ~ 400 $ job.

just to give u an idea. your quote for 1000 ish is a bit high. but hell, quote the insurance company that much and use the rest to buy mods ;]
