hit and Run.
I was getting off work and walked to my car and noticed that my passenger side door looks slighly warped.. so i was like noooo.. no noooooo.. and sure enough.. there it was.. my passenger side door was crushed in.. not too deep but it was as big as 1 and 1/2 basketballs..
no note or anything.. it wouldn't been so bad since i know stuff happens and it's only a car.. but my wife just got into a car accident last week.. so if i want insurance to fix it.. i would have to fork over another 1000 dollar deductible..
hmm.. i curious what a body shop would charge.. as far as im concerned i think it's only the door.. the door still fully functions.. anyone know if all s2000 doors 2000-2008 fit on a 2000 ap1?
and does anyone know of anyone selling a passenger side door?
any color works.. but it would be awesome if there was a silverstone..
end rant...

Pics are up...
Sucks to hear that happened to you. Good thing you have the most common color if you're going with the "buying a used door" route. If not I suggest taking that thing in for an estimate and then going from there.
You can't get your door banged out? Sounds like just sheetmetal damage. In that respect you're lucky.
Any telltale paint left behind by the scumbag who hit you? Any chance other people at your employer may have seen something? Does the lot have security cameras? Take a walk through the parking lot and see if anyone is sporting Silverstone highlights. Start with the car that was parked next to you that morning.
If you find the offending party, tell them they can either pay up or you'll go to the police and their employer. If you can't ID the jerk, sadly you are yet another victim of the complete lack of personal responsibility that has become common in our society.

the car who hit me what white.. i went to security and they had tons of cameras.. but they pretty much said i was S.O.L ed since i would need a court order for them to rewind the cameras.. i looked around as well for a white car.. and since i work a 6 hour shift, am pretty sure the car is long gone.. people these days.. i hope they get what's comming to them.. you reap what you sow..
if there is no paint loss, and only a dent, you may want to find somebody like "Dent Doctor" or "Dent Wizard" in your area. They stick what looks like a glorified coat hanger in between the glass, and they push out the dent, then shape it with a very blunt tap. Works beautifully, and charges way less than a body shop.
YMMV. Of course some people do it better than others, but I've seen it done before, and now my S looks almost dent free.
They can't fix everything, but you'd be surprised at what they can do. Never hurts to check it out.
