Definitely understand what you are going through. I had mine hit while parked at work at the farthest corner parking spot available. I was in pure disbelief that someone still hit me. And I only had my car for 2 weeks during that time. The things we go through to prevent these things from happening still happens. Sucks.

Yep... it needs to be blended. Colors like yellow, especially colors with pearl in them... you have to blend the ajacent panels to the messed up one.

Very sorry to hear this. Everytime I read a story about hit and run, it just pisses me off. Hope everything works out for you fine.

thanks for everyones input. Took it to the body shop this morning. Blending is indeed necessary and there is no other way to go about it to get things to match up evenly. He assured me everything will be fine though as he's the best guy in town to do it. Most body shops he said will take the new fender and paint the inside and put it back on then paint the outside. He will paint the entire new fender off the car along with the D-side door and blend the two.

GOD THAT IS PAINFUL!

At least you taking it to a high-end guy like they say. Provide some feedback when it's all said and done.

Good luck!
