Default Hit twice in 24 hours

Hmmmm...I guess a silver S2000 doesn't show up well in a parking lot. I dropped off my silver S2K yesterday at a local Honda dealer to have the right front strut replaced and the 15k service done.

When I got it back last night I noticed someone dented my driver's side rear quarter panel. So I called to tell the Honda dealer and they said to bring it in.

So I did...

While walking out to the parking lot to move my car into one of the service bays I saw a newer Accord backing up. As I walked toward my car I wondered if they would stop, but CRASH!

She didn't even see my car and hit the front driver's side. The bumper was moved and there are several deep scratches.

So, I pulled the car into the service bay and the Honda dealer is going to pay to have the dent removed. When I get the car back I'll drive it over to the body shop and get an estimate to get the bumper fixed.

This is the third time in a year that people have backed into or bumped into the S2K. Is the car really that invisible?

Anyhow, people nowadays just don't care for other people's property.

(The only exception are the S2K owners!)
Yeah I agree. The girl who hit me today didn't even bother looking back all that much. Plus, she started to drive away after she hit my car. I had to stop her, and needless to say I wasn't happy.

I read somewhere that certain colors of cars are more likely to be hit. Silver / grey being one of the top colors...along with red. Go figure.

man.. on the 3rd day i had my s2k, went to eat at a restaurant, parked far away where it was open. when i got back, someone put a ding on the drivers side door. i was pretty pissed.
anyhow.. indys2k, why did you have to get your strut replaced?

just askin, cuz when i make a sharp u turn, i hear a moaning noise, like the front right tire is rubbing or something. it sounds like its from the front right, i know that it might be the lsd/drivetrain making the noise, but i want to rule out any possiblities. thanks...

sorry to hear that..

i had my car 1 week and hit a deer, got it back and got a door ding (bad one) then the next week i was t-boned hard.. Have only driven for about 5 days since owning the car from new.. i was going to park away from people at work and in general but inevitably idiot people will hit you, door ding you etc so when i (finally) get it back next week i am just going to park anywhere like i have done in all my other cars..

While this has been discussed before, I do believe that the silver is especially prone to being hit. I live in a small town in Oregon, pop 20,000, not a lot of traffic, but my car has been hit 6 times in the one plus year that I have owned this car.

Not once did the person leave a note that they had hit me (it was always parked). The last time I got hit they did scratch it quite a bit. What kills me it that I always garage my car, day and night, and it only is parked on the street when I go out, or shopping. I can't decide if I am going to have the body work and paint job done, since it just seems like it will get hit again

Sorry about the damage INDYS2K. There's no end to the morons out there who don't have a clue and aren't paying attention, especially in LA. I had The dent Wizard come pop out dings in my stook at work, and not 1/2 hr later there is a new ding in my drivers door that matched the car parked in the next stall. I dragged the guy out of his office to show him. "I didn't do that. I'm very careful." Then he opens his door and, bam!, puts a new ding right next to the old ding right in front of me. Needless to say, he paid for the Dent Wizard's next visit. This guy's monorail doesn/t go all the way through to Tomorrowland.

Well, I got the car back tonight and the dent was removed by a paintless dent removal place. They did a great job!

Now, I need to get an estimate on the front. The only good thing here is I have some scraps on the bottom front of the bumper from scrapping a parking block, and a nice rock chip that can both be fixed at the same time.

Although, after it's all done I guess it's onto round four of the dent acquisition game.
