HKS Exhaust Question???

I recently got my HKS exhaust and I am still to install it. I car has been in the service shop (being spied on by other owners 
) getting the bulletin tranny work for the last week. This weekend I got around to looking through the shipping boxes that I got and I notice two bags with what looks like paper towels. What are these for?
