Default HKS HiPower Exhaust

Hey Boys'n'Girls,

Just ordered the HKS Hi Power Dual Catback Exhuast for my S2K and I'm friggin' excited!!! Just wondering if any of you out there have installed this on thier S2K's and what you think...power? sound? etc...?

Thanks for the input...

P.S.Was thinking of purchasing headers as well but wasn't sure if it would be worth it...any help with this too is appreciated...

Power.....no more no less. Throttle response is a bit improved, and people dyno with an extra 2whp, which to me, is nothing. You dont lose power. The sound however, is the best sound that can come out of an s2000 IMHO.

Don't expect any power gains from the HKS, but the sound is great! Also, you may want to look into getting a testpipe, it makes the HKS sound that much better, I love mine

I love my hks... i had my car dynoed a while back and dynoed at 210rwhp.... 4ig CAI, HKS exhaust, and vafc II were the mods... i have since added a testpipe which does change the sound....

Can anyone tell my how loud this exhaust is for daily driving? How does it compare to the comptech? How does it compare to stock?

^ it's really quiet compared to other exhausts out there. and there is barely any drone.... however it's louder then comptech...

Two thumbs way up here!

There is a definite drone in 6th gear at 50-55 mph. With the top down, the drone is minimal, but with the top up, it increases noticeably. Not the drone that you get with a few other aftermarket exhausts, just very, very deep.

Regardless, the exhaust sounds SICK. Driving with the top down and accelerating moderately from about 2500 RPM is pure heaven. Here are some videos I shot the day after I put mine on.
