Well... You could put a couple of layers of Menzerna Powerlock or Blackfire Wet Diamond down and make it slick so it is easier to clean off or...

Trying to find this stuff my friend used at the last auto-x... basically a clear transparent film that was easy to apply and remove... If I find it I'll post up a link...

Does your friend remove it after each event? I'd like to know if it could be left on for months at a time.

Just make sure it's well waxed and the bugs will wash off very easily. Use a good synthetic sealant like Full Molecular Jacket.

It works very well without having to cover your bumper every other day.

You could always do a clear bra.

I would just wash the car after my long road trips.

Nothing says, "I take my S2000 everywhere" like having a bug holocaust on the frond end at the end of a road trip.

Duplicolor Shield

http://www.autobarn.net/duplicolor-spray-on-bra.html

Easy to apply - just use tape to mark the edges of the area you want to cover, spray a few coats of this on it, then pull the tape. Overspray wipes off directly. Washing it off a few days or weeks later is no problem. I had it on my wife's car for over three weeks in the hot Texas sun and it still came off without any problems. I even used it for a track day and it held up decently. I went with gray/black since it's easier to see where it's been applied.

It will come off in the rain, though, especially if you've used a light coating.
