Default Honda Films ?

A friend of mine (who's now relegated to an acquaintance as of yesterday) was over and he just happened to turn the tv to speed channel's running of BMW films. It was "Hostage" with this guy driving the z4. Pretty good action, but ugly car IMO.

After the episode, OF COURSE attention focused to my S2000 along with rather insultive connotations. I fended off the 350Z flaming questions, accusations, but really didn't have an answer for the reason as to why why Honda never released something like Honda Films ??

My answer was that it is a mentality thing. I said that the Japanese (my apologies to all Japanese for generalizing) don't need to rely on some Hollywood action like stunt scenes to sell their car. But this wasn't good enough. So I said, do you see Porsche films ? Ferrari Films ? etc. etc.

So he continued to flame me over having plastic window on "such an expensive car" I kindly said, "..when you trade in your Hyundai SUV and get your 2 seater sports car , then come and talk to me.."

So does anyone know if Honda ever released something like "Honda Films" similar to bmw films ?

Just another day of having to JUSTIFY my car yet again .. GRRRRrrrrr

The only person you have to justify your car to is yourself, If you enjoy it end of story. Not everybody likes the same things...

what an ass. Be sure to tell him Honda replaced the plastic in 2002 with glass, and the z3 was around for what? six years before it got a glass window. It's really a shame that you know this person, who can't even back it up with the car he actually drives.

And remember: People usually put down things they don't understand or are afraid of. Your friend is merely scared and confused. Maybe you should slap him.

BMW is marketing BMWFilms as way of selling cars. Maybe they are overpriced if BMW can afford to throw money into filmmaking - a business (which I work in, mind you) is woefully money draining.

I say again: ass!
