According to Honda's attorney, a meeting was scheduled for Friday to make a decision on our request for use of the S2000 logo. A letter is supposed to be in the mail for delivery this week with their decision. Unfortunately, we don't have a clue what it is; they gave us no hints.

Since the decision is on the way, we're going to hold up posting the head rest group buy for a few days until the letter arrives.

I think we have talked about this before. But there are other S2000 products other than our roadster. Does Honda actually have a copyright on S2000 and its design? Can we change it slightly if they turn us down?

Counsel has advised me not to mess around with this. Plus they may decide in our favor. It won't hurt to wait a few more days.

OK, maybe I'm being a negative, but good news never waits for the mail. If the news was good, they would have told you ASAP.

Did you see "The Perfect Storm" where the boat owner comes into the bar to tell the people about the fisherman on the Andrea Gail? This reminds me of that.

Here's hoping that I am wrong....

You have to remember that we're dealing with a beauracracy. They don't answer anybody's telephone calls.

Call me a pessismist, but I don't see any way that Honda would agree to this. Too much risk with very little reward, from a biz perspective.

I'm actualy surprised, (and duly impressed) that they are taking the time to discuss the topic with us.

Thanks for your diligence in pursuing this, Rick.
