note to people who are tall: the headrest speakers appear to protrude about a 3/4 inch behind the seats so you will not be able to put the seat all the way back. make sure you have about an inch between the back of your seat and the rollbars in your normal seat position before you even consider getting those speakers.

I believe hardtopguy already stated that it shouldn't be a problem. The speakers are suppose to go directly into the cutouts of the stock roll hoops.

I have these speakers now. The seats go all the way back.

The speakers make a big difference. When fading to just the speakers, they aren't very powerful and don't sound all that great, but they allow you to hear voices and higher frequencies much better.

My speakers are being powered off an aftermarket head unit, so I might have slightly better sound than with the factory radio. My components are run off an amp.

The speakers are at the perfect location. You can hear them without playing them loud.

Sound still suffers at higher speeds given road and wind noise, but at least now I can make out what people are saying.

I suggest you inspect the S Pod speaker system that was contructed to fit in the roll bar hoops behind the seats. Do a search. I know of several S owners who found them to be an excellent choice for their sound system.
They are manufactured/sold by an S enthusiast who frequents this web site.
