Default HOnda of Japan website - S2K section

I look over this site once in a while... it's always very interesting. Having a Japanese-enabled web browser is a requirement (I suggest IE v6). While the site is in Japanese, some is English and there are always the pics to look at. Hint for URLs: most of the directories of the website server are in English: hold your mouse over a Japanese-text URL and you can see the English directory name that it will ltake you too.

Many interesting sections here:

1) Base site

2) Color selection in Japan - some we don't get, and some "premium" colors which are wild - how about purple, bright green, orange? colors There is also a custom color plan - be sure to try out the Flash animation:
custom color

3) Lots of accessories, only a few of them sold in the US: Accessories Front and rear spoilers are the same as ours, although the front has a "Modulo" badge on it. You can also buy some great wheels, properly sized and offseted, and some other suspension and exhaust components. Ther eis even a special knee-brace for the side of the console (an idea for Rick's next product??). Be sure to look at the concept pages, where the rationale behind the design of the accessories is explained:
Accessory Concepts

4) Differences - S2Ks for other markets have a couple of different features and options. One is the navigation system, another you've seen is the headlamp washers. See the Online Owners Manual for a complete explanation.

5) This is cool: on this page you can download a PDF of a paper fold-together S2000. Print it on your printer, cut with scissors, fold, and you have your own S2K. PDFs

6) The Type V is still sold, although as Best Motoring has shown it doesn't do anything much better. There are several options on the entire line, such as a Nav system, and cloth seats are standard.

7) Honda has also provided a Fact Book page - showing detailed pics of the technical features of the car.

8) Some of these links we may not be able to understand, like this

You forgot to mention the following pages:

- The Softtop replacement page.

- The Recalls page.

- The Photo gallery is not as interesting as it used to be, but the current content has all the exotic colors. If you want more photos, follow some of the other links and you'll see more photos.

I assume the table with the line diagonally thru it means that the soft-top with glass can't be put on the earlier cars (at least, officially)?

I wish we had such a recall page here... although the S2KI has a fair list of them...

Can anyone tell me what they're saying about this Modulo suspension package? I see the price: about $1500. I don't suppose it says anything about weight, eh?

And how about these 17" wheels? Price looks great (though I suppose shipping would be terrifying). Any weights listed?

Wow, they even have behind-the-seats mesh storage baskets! I'm 6'3"... I CANNOT IMAGINE having that much space in this car!
