Honda Options - Prices
I'm researching everything I can before I start working with dealers. Since it seems that there are some dealers that are forcing options, I was wondering if anyone had some reliable information as to how much a "fair" price is for the options.
I'm paranoid that I'll fall for a vehicle at MSRP, but I won't have a good idea of what the options cost, and will get ripped off in that part of the transaction.
As far as I can tell, here's all of the options that are available, can anyone help?
Thanks!

You can try getting the Honda accessory prices from their site at: http://www.honda2001.com/models/s2000/acce...cessories.html#, and compare them with the options listed by our sponsors at the bottom of the page (HandA-Accoessories.com mostly duplicates the Honda options, and gives a 10% discount for S2Ki members). Don't forget that most S2Ks on the floor will have the options already installed, so the dealer will be loathe to take any off. I doubt if you can find many places which will haggle on the price of options - more likely with the MSRP (though probably unlikely in So. Cal).
Yup, learn from my experience young Jedi. I got the car for MSRP but I had to take it in the ass on the options from Norm Reeves Honda in Cerritos. The options were installed before it even made it to the floor. I wanted most of the options anyways but not for the extreme prices they quoted. ($1200 CD player!!!). I haggled 6 ways from Sunday and they said "No". Take it or leave it. Even with the forced options it was still cheaper than any other dealer I could find in So. Cal and it was the color I wanted. Plus about 3 other guys were circling it like Vultures at the same time. I just had to bite the bullet and eat the options if i wanted to get the car in any sort of reasonable time frame. 3 months later, It was totally worth it and I would do it again.
Check out http://www.HandA-Accessories.com/s2000.html which is one of our sponsors. Their prices are very competitive.
TrojanHorse,
That's why these dealers don't haggle. Because they know that if a person wants the car, they'll do pretty much anything to get it. That's why I never go into the dealership to get a car. It's also why the dealers tell you to go down to the dealership to talk about pricing. They want to get you into their world. Then they wear you down. I much prefer the fax method to get a good deal. It's the easiest car buying experience.
Others,
If you're not in the west, south or east US, you should be able to get a S2K at LESS than MSRP quite easily, including options at MSRP or less.
Some dealers here (Minnesota) are trying to charge 2000-5000 over MSRP, and I found several dealers willing to sell it at less than MSRP.
