Honda S2000 0-100-0
Anybody know what the time for the S2000 from zero to 100 and back to zero?
The latest Road and Track said the fastest thing from 0-100-0 they ever tested was a Kawasaki racing bike followed closely by the new Enzo Ferrari. The respective times were something like 11.3 and 11.5.

Well if the s2000 does 0-100 in 14.3 seconds (according to R & T)...the ferrari would have gone 0-100mph and be stopped for a few seconds before the s2000 hit 100mph

I dont know what the 0-100-0 is though...

I don't think I have any figures where the S2000 was put through the 0-100-0mph test, but I have seen these:
- 0-100mph = 13.8 - 14.8sec
- 62-0mph = 2.9sec
- 125-0mph = 5.3sec
So I'm guessing for 100-0mph time of about 4 - 4.5sec (ie. in between the other 2 times). That would give us around 18 - 19.5sec 0-100-0mph time for the S2000.
EDIT:
I just found the Sport Auto test from October 2000 and they did put the S2000 (and Z3 3.0 and TT-Roadster) through the 0-100-0mph exercise. For the S2000 they managed: 19.0sec. That is with a 14.8sec 0-100mph time ... that implies a 4.2sec 100-0mph time. Looks like on a day when the S2000 can manage 13.8 for the 0-100mph time, an 18sec flat time for 0-100-0mph is possible.
ps. Same mag in January of 2000 did a 0-125-0mph test on the S2000 and managed 29.9sec time (where the 125-0mph time was 5.3sec).

...so for the extra 25 mph gap, it takes the s2000 roughly 10 secs.
Yep, that's right. Nothing unusual about that ... the faster you go, the slower the acceleration will be. 10secs from 100 - 125mph is not a bad effort.
