Honda S2K A/C SUCKS!
This is ridiculus! I live in Greece and during the summer it gets really hot. Now we have temperatures close to 38-40 degrees C, and I desperately need A/C that works! My S2K A/C just cannot cope with the high temperature
When I have the A/C on (with recycle) the kompressor goes on and then off and then on and then off etc, thus maintaining a moderate temperature (because during the off periods it brings warm, humid air inside the cabin and then during the on periods it tries to cool that air down). Apparently this is how Honda A/C works!
I have never seen any other car with such horrible A/C performance. I just hope my honda dealer does not know what he is talking about when he says "That's how it should work" and there is something wrong in my car that I can fix.
Please, please, if anyone has ANY idea of what might be wrong please let me know because I have no clue how the A/C works.

Wow, I've got to disagree big time. Here in NYC (Temps hitting 98 F this week), the AC can cope just fine. I find it to be better than my ///M3! My issue is that it saps the power and leaves the car very sluggish, so the S stays home when it gets that hot - the ///M still pulls fine with AC set to 60 degrees and full blast.
I have to concur with Michael, the last few days here in lovely New Jersey have been in the high 90's with generous humidity, and my A/C seems to be acting just like his, compressor cycling on and off so it barely maintains a comfortable cabin temperature. My car is nearly three and I haven't really used the air much, so it may need a re-charge.
Re-circulate should help the situation because you'll be re-cooling the cabin air and not the hot air outside. But if you say re-circulate isn't working well, take it to the dealer, maybe there is something wrong with the fan switch for the A/C

My AC acts like our Greek friend's system nowadays. It'll blow in cold air, then suddenly won't anymore, especially at standstill.
I checked the air bubble sensor/gauge thingie in the engine bay and there are definitely air bubbles running around in my AC system.
Any idea what needs to be done to repair this problem? Just flush and refil refrigerant? Any idea the costs? I'm guessing the $tealer has to outsource the work to an AC shop anyway, so I'll probably go find one.

My A/C works just fine and so I haven't experience the problems some of you may be having...last week was in the high 80's/low 90's and humid as heck! It may need a recharge
