Default Honda service

Just what is the difference between a regular honda service dealership and a certified honda sevice dealership? Does it even matter?

Jeffrey...dreading the first oil change.

I don't think there is any difference, but if there is, I'd say go to the "certified"....sounds a little better

I have no experience on this, but here it goes...

A regular Honda Service Dealership sounds like it would be at the actual Dealership, with Honda paid employees doing the work (and usually charging the most).

A certified Honda Service Dealership sounds like it would be an AAMCO or other reputable company that Honda trusts to work on their cars.

If this is the case, I would take my car to the regular Honda Service Dealership, especially if the cost is the same.

Just my 1 cent on the subject.

Well, the first oil change went really well and the engine is running just as it should be. Not a single scratch anywhere or dents that some of you have posted about after service. It was all over and done with in 15 minutes.

As for certified honda service over honda service. It does make a difference or so they claim. Certified service requires that only mechanics can that are certified by Honda to work on the cars. Those not certified can be mechanics from anywhere. You can see the certificate for the certified mechanic.

Jeffrey...glad that I have one close by.
