it seems like all the post there are speculations. like the S2200 with 2.2 litres.
good idea/good wish but is it reality?

i would be too, that would give the car about a 10% boost in power, which would be atleast 270hp.
if Honda also lowered the weight about 200lbs, the car should have no problems with the combination to hit low 13's.
between 13.0-13.5/qtr mile.

Mugen already bored the F20C to 2.2L and it was a total waste. No more horsepower, no more torque. Face it, there is only so much you are going to get out of a 4 cylinder engine, regardless of displacement. An extra 50cc/cylinder isn't going to get you much. You've either got to add more cylinders or make the ones you have go faster (i.e. higher RPM). The last significant improvement I could see would be going to I-VTEC for better low-end power.

Interesting arithmetic there Bayarea. Current horsepower is 240, add 10% (24) =264HP - how do you get at least 270?

Hello All-

I have spent a considerable amount of seat time in the Mugen 2.2 S2000 during my trips to Mugen. The improvements in HP and torque are quite startling. 6th. gear acceleration-you bet! No need to downshift!
MUCH easier to drive in all gears. An eye opener to say the least! And hardly a waste of time........

Please feel free to contact us at any time for any S2000 related questions you may have.

Cheers!

Scott
