Found this on http://www.lyricsworld.com:

Little Honda
The Beach Boys
(Wilson/Love)

GO!
I'm gonna wake you up early cause I'm gonna take a ride with you.
We're goin' down to the Honda shop, I'll tell you what we're gonna do.
Put on a ragged sweatshirt, I'll take you anywhere you want me to.

Refrain:
First gear, it's all right (Honda, Honda, go faster, faster)
Second geear, I'll lean right (Honda, Honda, go faster, faster)
Third gear, hang on tight (Honda, Honda, go faster, faster)
Faster, it's all right.

It's not a big motorcycle,
Just a groovy little motorbike.
It's more fun than a barrel of monkeys,
That two-wheeled bike.
We'll ride on out of the town
To anyplace I know you like.

Refrain.

It climbs the hills like a Matchless,
Cause my Honda' built really light.
When I go in to the turns
Better hang on tight.
I'd better turn on the lights
So we can ride my Honda tonight.

Refrain.

Change a couple of words & we got the S2000!

The Snoop Dogg song included with the PS2 game "Grand Tourismo 3" includes a specific S2000 reference.

You eat Cadillacs, Lincolns too
Mercurys and Subarus
And you don't stop, you keep on eatin' cars

Sorry, no other Honda songs come to mind, but I'll post it if I find one.

I've got it on my S2K disk. I just tried a quick search on Bear Share, but got nothing. I guess I bagged it when Napster was still up .. I have a lot of Beach Boys stuff. I guess you can e-mail mp3s?? If you're dying for it, pm me with an e-mail addy--it's a 2.2 meg file, if you can handle it.

Anybody know this one?

Artist: Rivers Bob
Album: Twisted Tunes Classics Vol. 1
Song: Honda Accord
And now, I'm going to do a song with great social and political influence.
it goes like this...

Oh Lord, won't you buy me a Honda Accord.
Mercedes insurance I cannot afford.
If I drove a Porche, I'd still be ignored.
So oh Lord, won't you buy me a Honda Accord.

Oh Lord, won't you buy me some silicone implants.
The breasts that you gave me don't shake when I dance.
Them doctors make mountains out of hills made for ants.
So oh Lord, won't you buy me some silicone implants.

Oh Lord, won't you buy me a good looking male.
My boyfriend is lazy, and big as a whale.
Spends all of my money (when he's not in jail).
Oh Lord, won't you buy me a good looking male...

Everybody...

Oh Lord, won't you buy me a Honda Accord.
Mercedes insurance I cannot afford.
My car's held together by a big bungee cord...
So oh Lord, won't you buy me a Honda Accord.

That's it.

Leave it to Honda to inspire a song like that!

Was this the inspiration for "Mercedes Benz" on Janis Joplin's album "Pearl". Maybe Joplins "Mercedes Benz" was the inspiration for Honda Accord.

I'm gonna do a song of great social and political import.
It goes like this:

Oh Lord won't you buy me a Mercedes Benz,
My friends all drive Porsches, I must make amends,
Worked hard all my lifetime,
No help from my friends,
So Lord won't you buy me a Mercedes Benz.

Oh Lord won't you buy me a color T.V.,
Dialing for Dollars is trying to find me,
I'll wait for delivery,
Each day until 3,
So Lord won't you buy me a color T.V.

Oh Lord won't you buy me a night on the town,
I'm counting on you Lord, please don't let me down,
Prove that you love me,
And buy the next round,
So Lord won't you buy me a night on the town.

Everybody...

Oh Lord won't you buy me a Mercedes Benz,
My friends all drive Porsches, I must make amends,
Worked hard all my lifetime,
No help from my friends,
So Lord won't you buy me a Mercedes Benz.

That's it! (Ha, Ha)

Of course, Joplin made it sound great as only she could.

I know nothing about Bob Rivers but I did a quick search on amazon & came up with the following list of Bob Rivers songs:

Twisted Christmas ~ Bob Rivers Comedy Corp
I Am Santa Claus ~ Bob Rivers & Twisted Radio
The Best of Twisted Tunes, Vol. 1 ~ Bob Rivers & Twisted Radio
Twisted Christmas [Box] [BOX SET] ~ Bob Rivers
The Best of Twisted Tunes, Vol. 2 ~ Bob Rivers & Twisted Radio
I Farted on Santa's Lap (Now Christmas is Gonna Stink for Me) ~ The Little Stinkers
Dr. Demento Presents: Greatest Xmas Novelty CD ~ Various Artists
Holiday in Dementia ~ Various Artists

From the contents of this list I'd say that Janis was his inspiration not the other way around.

That's probably right. Janis was one of my favorites. Thanks for the reply.
