The GM 3bar is the one we use around here on all the boosted B-series. You use the GM plug and splice the wires in our harness. Looks really cheap but it works.

Gotta love people riding around with nice S2Ks and cheap/crappy looking parts on them.

... GM 3 bar is what AEM uses as well as most any other EMS system manufacturer does. that's what most DSM, Evo guys use.

I had 3bar in my Evo that was GM, worked great. I had mine spliced so I could have my bar sensor and MAF sensor work if needed.

I currently have an AEM 3.5 bar MAP sensor on my S2K, and I don't like they way it needed to be sliced into the factory harness. Once Hondata has their MAP sensor available for the MY06+ owners, I am going to purchase their unit. Personal preference.

i mean, does the 3 bar sensor really HAVE to come coated in Gold to meet your taste? Do you even know what the bar sensor look like?
You are not getting it. It isn't what the sensor itself looks like--it is the extra wiring you need to splice into the factory harness. It is not clean, even if you have it done very well like I have done. You end up with another wire in your engine bay that you don't need.

Though a crappy splice job could make it look cheesy.

The sensor on the left requires you to splice in a special harness into the factory harness. The sensor on the right allows you to use the factory harness and no splicing is required....hence clean, simple and professional.

It's gotta be a rip-off. The inline pro kit comes with the GM 3bar and it works like a champ. Took me 20 mins to solder and install cleanly.
