Default Hood Questions

Excuse this newbie question but... am thinking of replacing hail damaged OEM hood with CF.

1) is CF ding-resistant in case i get more hail? (i don't have covered parking)
2) on the vented CF hoods -- is water channeled in a manner that keeps water away from engine bay?
3) will it be easy to match my Rio Yellow?
4) can you guys recommend any hood styles and some links?

Thanks in advance

NOTE - search tool not working for me at this time.

I am not sure how dent resistance CF is. It's probably better than the aluminum hood, but I couldn't say HOW much better.

The only vented hood that I am aware of that has rain gutters is the Mugen hood. They run about $3,100.00 new. The rest just let the water dump into the engine bay. Seibon makes a knock-off version of the mugen hood, but it has no gutters. It does come with some pieces that attach from under the hood and block off the vents completely. This might be an option for you as an example.

Yellow is a PITA to match, but it can be done.

i have a cf hood. i don't imagine it getting dented as i could be wrong.

sounds stupid, but i put pressure on it to see how strong it really was, and it kinda dipped down and then bounced right back up to its original shape. when i had a radplate the first couple of times i pressed the hood down and it did the same thing not leavinng any permanent scar.

but there are different quality hoods out there. i don't thing they get dented, if anything they will crack before they dent.

If you go CF, it should be for the look. Painting it would be a crime and a PITA. Rio is a 3 coat process.
