Default Hooks behind the seat

I was cleaning my interior the other day and I noticed the hooks behind the seats I had noticed them before and wondered what they were but then forgot about them. They are right near an access panel but don't appear to have anything to do with it. So anybody know what their purpose is?

Simultaneous upward pressure on them opens another secret compartment. J/K, sorry, I couldn't resist.

Honda makes a rather expensive hanging organizier for maps, papers etc. that attaches to these hooks.

Robb,

We have recently begun using those little hooks. Picked up one of the organizer things for maps, etc. from Scott/Twiztid of NE.

Even used, I paid more for that organizer than I do for a purse!

I hang one of those foldable umbrellas on one of the hooks.

Just like all the other compartments, pockets, hatches etc. in the S interior, they're just this close to being completely useless.
