Default houston s2k owners, i need help

I over rev last night, because I missed a gear and did the 5th to 2nd downshift. The car is not starting. There is still power but the car will not crank. Any ideas. I would like to contact some of you on the phone if all possible.

thanks

Did your car still run after over rev?

I'm afraid if you do crank the engine that it will be nothing but fluttering valves. One thing you can do is reset the ECU to see if that is the problem. (its in the faq section) The keys have been removed fully and you've tried to restart it since, correct?

Only suggestion I have would be to flat bed it to the dealership.

I would assume a severly damaged engine until proven otherwise. Have it trailered to a Honda dealership for diagnostics.

If you want some indication yourself, put the car in neutral and try turning the crank via the large bolt in lower front of the engine (crankshaft). If it can't be done, the engine has seized, and probably will require major engine work.

To reset ecu it may be easier to disconnect battery for a couple of minutes, provided you have radio reset code.

and prolene might be correct as well, but make sure you have your radio code first before disconneting the battery.

Have it towed to John Eagle Honda, Marcello is the best around for S2000 diagnosis / fixes. Call JH Honda @ 281-955-6666.
