Saturday wasn't quite the extravaganza that Friday was, but it was still fun.

Highlights:

Unicron had half of his cool ait intake on, adding an even nicer sound to his recently installed exhaust.

Unicron and Lips2000 finally ran against each other both having stock rims/tires. Unicron had a come from behind victory. Everyone agreed that the intake and exhaust must have made a difference, as well as the stock tires. Unicron had been beat 5, I think, times prior.

I ran against the modded Z28, I got a great launch, he didn't. I was ahead for a while, but he caught back up by the time we hit 80. He would have smoked me if he had gotten a good launch.

I ran aginst the 3000 GT VR4 twin turbo. His 4wd car hooked up so clean that He just jumped ahead from the very start. I don't think he pulled too much after that, but he definitely beat me.

On the way to "Mamma's Cafe" at 1:30 AM this Firebird kept trying to keep up with us. Eventualy, it was me and the Firebird at the light, some lady driving. I wasn't sure if she wanted some, so I started out slow. At about 15MPH I heard her punch it, so I floored it. She got toasted, bad - so she made a quick right-hand turn.

OK...it's true, Unicron beat me...this time! I really do think his intake/exhaust combo gave him the edge. Heading back to Westheimer, we took one at a light and we were side by side, shifting in synchronized fashion and we tied. The only difference there was he had a passenger...what a passenger! My thanks to Ada for riding with me during the "reverse" run. Scot is right. The top speed is 48mph in reverse...damnit! I hit V-TEC a little harder this time and it was really...different! Everybody was running pretty good. Wish we had done more, though. Oh yeah...Zerin...how was church? Funny how he found religion after seeing Wes go against the Z-28!!

Have a good Easter everyone! See you all later.

Mark

man i can't believe i'm missing out on all of this.. had fun friday night though.. raced my friends '96 LT-1 ws6 transam the whole way from ft. worth to dallas.. did at least 5 runs.. about every time i'd either pull ahead a little or we'd be dead even until around 95-100mph then he'd start to pull.. and continue to pull until we backed off.. we had a mustang gt trying to keep up without much luck. that look of shock as a 4banger pulls on them is priceless.

also did 1 run against the ws6 off the line and got smoked..

Insomniak,

How much did the WS6 have you from stand still? I'm curious because there's a coworker here that is talking noise to me. Not even directly which bothers me. In addition, are you stock? Proabably not since you hanged with the WS6 at high speeds.

Wesmaster:
Was the VR-4 stock or MODS? How many car does he had on you?
I ran a VR-4 before at around 40mph(2nd gear). We both punch it and we were pretty much even. But i'm sure that he'll beat me from a standstill.
mine S is bone-stock.

I still can't believe how fast Wes' car is. When we were turning on the Beltway 8 feeder from Westheimer, I looked in my rear-view and saw Kibro turn in after me. I was moving pretty good when I saw another pair of HID's pop around Kibro and gain on me like I was driving a Yugo.

That S/C is friggin' amazing. I gotta get one of those. I saw a few light to light shows from Wes, Mark, and Unicron. Kibro and I were just along for the show.

Sorry I had to leave early, but I had a early church service to catch too. If I got in any later last night, I'd have some explaining to do. None of you all are married huh? Now I understand.

Have fun running around an be careful.

Was the VR-4 stock or MODS?
List of mods from his site - http://www.n2trbl.com . I bolded the important mods.

1."N2 TRBL" custom plates
2.APEXi Super AVC Type-R boost controller
3.Stillen Metal Matrix brake pads
4.Magnecor KV85 Competition ignition cables
5.Custom short shifter
6.K&N FIPK
7.GReddy Type-S blow off valve
8.Custom Red & Black leather interior
9.Pilot Motorsports red anodized aluminum oil filler cap
10."Powered By MITSUBISHI" shoulder belt pads
11.Chapor VR-4 Identity Kit
12.ACT Street clutch kit (rated at 550 HP)
13.Matrix pedals
14.MOMO Combat shift knob
15.Mitsubishi Diamond Star valve caps
16.Kormex synchros

How many car does he had on you?
Someone else might remember it better, but as I recall his back bumper might have gotten in front of my front bumper, but I don't think that it did. After he went a while being in front he slowed down (at about 70-80 MPH), so I'm not sure if he would have pulled further, if I would have caught up, or if would have stayed the same.

What kind of CAI did Unicron install in addition to the Nippon exhaust?
