Default how bad does 19" does to the ride?

i planned on putting 19" racinghart CR on the s2k. i am not sure about the ride quality though, especially the suspension is hard even on the stock spring.
what are your suggestions and experiences for those who put 19" on your s2k?

thanks

I heard that you may get some rub on bumpy roads. I also heard that you will losing some of the cars handling ability because you have to offset the tires. The rims will also weigh the car down a lot more... possibly an extra 50-100 lbs. And remember that the weight limit for the car is 400 lbs. So if you and a friend are in the car, it will probably handle poorly. But this is just a guess, I don't know first hand, but these are the reasons why I don't even want to find out.

Yeah, and riding on rubberbands is probably not a happy time. I've heard complaints about 18's, I'm sure 19's are worse. (I'm still going to get 18's though)

you might want to PM teamredlines2k, he seems to be the expert in 19's. he doesn't seem to have any problems with his setup (axis hagens 19x8's). get the proper offset and tire size form him.

With acceptable offsets and correct tires, the negatives can be minimized but they will obviously (weight, etc) still remain to a degree. Asthetics are important to many owners who feel 16's are too small. I love the look of a 19-inch wheel but after the initial "wow" factor sets in, my next thought is usually, "they must weigh a ton!"

The other to speak of is arnel21 who works for Discount Tires. He has some big 19's on the car and the rears are 275, I believe the rear offset was 73, but they were nice 19's that actually fit.
