Default How can I get ahold of Bulletproof Automotive - Where's my stuff???

I ordered a set of Portercfield R4S pads from Bulletproof 8 days ago and still have not received them although they told me I would have them 4 days ago. Even ground/ USPS/ pony express would have delivered by now.

I called yesterday and they told me I would have a tracking number by the end of the day and if they hadn't already been ordered, they would next-day them, but I have gotten no reply and haven't been able to get ahold of them on the phone or e-mail. I'm going to fax something over, I think that will be my last ditch effort. I'm seriously thinking about trying to get a refund and get the brakes somewhere else (BUT I CAN'T GET AHOLD OF THEM TO GET A REFUND!!!).

Does anyone know how to get ahold of these guys?
Are they on S2KI?

Thanks for any help.

PENROD, have you taken into account the time difference when you call? I usually get a response from Ben when I email him. Otherwise Rich is your next best bet.

Yes I have.
I checked their web page for their hours and didn't start calling until around noon (EST).

Since then, I've tried e-mailing them and calling about every 30 minutes. I only get voice mail and I've left a few messages, the last of which wasn't real pleasant.

I think you're a little impatient. I'm afraid everybody wants instant gratification To post a complaint after only 8 days, is, IMHO, totally unfair. We get four or five emails every day from people who ordered something two days earlier and want to know why they haven't received it yet. Yikes!

I agree, be patient. It took a couple of months to get my carbon fiber products from them, but they always called me when each part got shipped out. They even called and updated me on a sunday. Having said that, I can understand what you are going through, been there, done that. Good luck.

It took two months to get my springs for my Civic(not from Bulletproof). I don't think 8 days is that big of a deal. I still haven't gotten some rear speakers from Lucid(back ordered), and those were ordered in December. Be patient.

if you hold yourself out as a RETAILER, then you should be subject to a certain standard. after EIGHT days, a tracking number should be available. we're not talking about a backyard special here, it's a board sponsor. a ship date was promised, YET NOT DELIVERED.

where's the problem? if the item is unavailable (backordered), then tell the customer. if you're too busy, THEN DON'T TAKE THE ORDER, and CERTAINLY DON'T PROMISE DELIVERY !!!!

enough of the excuses from the suppliers on this board.

Well, I did finally get a call back from Rich yesterday.

Just to clear something up:
1) I would normally be much more patient, but the fact is that I explained that I was only going to be at my house for that weekend and they promised the product would be there by Friday night, so I could do my brakes Saturday. Not only did I not receive them, but I didn't get a call back stating that there was a problem in shipping. It sounded like they placed the order with Proterfield and didn't bother to follow up. They weren't even aware there was a problem until I called.

2) My discussion yesterday evening discovered that the pads had NEVER been shipped. That disturbed me, but Rich was more than helpful in making it up to me. He has told me that he will be next-daying it to me and I should get the pads this Friday, and I will try to do the pads this weekend. he also told me he would provide a $50 refund.

Although this makes up for alot, I am still upset in the fact that it is damn near impossible to get in touch with them if anything should happen. If I do order anything else, I'll have to remember this incident and those posted above and just be SUPER-DUPER patient.

Thank you for the help.
