How can we preserve the s2000
All of us here on S2ki are car enthusiast. I just want know what your thoughts are on preserving the s2000. When I mean preserving the s2000 I mean keeping it a beautiful car that represents Honda. Toyota's got the Supra, Mazda's got the RX7, Chevy's got the Corvette, etc... Everytime I check the value on the s2000 the value decrease's every year. What can we do to make this vehicle more respected in the auto world and hold its value like the cars mention above? or is it out of our hands cause its a Honda.
All you can really do is sit back and hope. The only S2000's that will ever be actual collectibles and go up in value significantly are stock CR's. The normal S2k's really aren't as rare as an RX-7 or Turbo Supra, but (kinda like a 240Z today) the fact that it's pretty much the perfect sports car formula will probably keep it loved for many years to come.

its not a supra or a rx7, its a well built car but its under powered and a honda, so there is not much about it thats gona keep its value up, unlike supras with their monster 2JZ and the rx7 with the rotary
I don't think the fact that it's a honda will contribute or diminish value. A classic car has to stand on it's own. The reason Supra and RX-7 can enjoy a status has nothing to do with "Toyota" or "Mazda" in their name. When I hear "Toyota", I don't get all excited. When I hear "Supra" I picture a Supra and I say to myself "smoke him."
I shall continue to enjoy my car but I don't think the S was given enough power to claim any real status, although I've always thought the body styling to be outstanding and I think road and track said the body was a classic style that would still look good in 25 years (this was in an article comparing 350z, RX8 and S2000).

The KBB on my car went up over the last year, despite the miles I put on it. *knock on wood*
Only time will tell. It's not like in 98 anyone could have predicted the long term status of the supra and rx-7. Were they amazing cars? Yes. But I don't think even then anyone would have guessed that they would have that 'forever remembered' status.
