Hello,

I just purchased a used HKS Dual Hi Power exhaust, it is a little dirty and I would like to clean it a bit before installing the exhaust. The black part of the exhaust, I was wondering is it just stainless steel?

Any tips or products to clean the exhaust would be appreciated.

If it's all stainless then soap and water, steel wool for really bad spots, and I use a metal polish from Mcguires that makes my HKS look very nice.

 

Go to Target and get some "Barkeeps Friend" polish. It's like $2 and works GREAT on stainless. I use a sponge and wet wipe then use a dry microfiber with good results.

Steel Wool for really bad spots is still a good idea.
