Default How complicated is it to swap interiors?

I have an '02 GPW with red interior and have often thought about swaping the red for black. I know the seats, door panels, and center console will be relatively easy, but what about the dash and the carpet? Any estimates on how long this would take?

Carpet isn't too, too bad, but the dash can be a PITA.

I only did the seats, door panels, and console.

I'd swap my 02 black (6K miles) center console and door panels with you...

Or do the inverted red/black. That would be pretty cool.

Anybody ever done other combos....I've heard of a yellow/black combo. Kinda curious about a blue/black combo. Anyone done it? Not that I hate the blue but different is good...

i swapped out the driver, passenger and center console carpet. The console is a bit challenging b/c
it goes under/behind the radio. I actually had to make some extra cuts in the carpet because some
wires somehow find their way through 2 holes in the carpet (which I didn't want to somehow
disassemble. Plus the airbag sensor is located under the radio but over the carpet, and I didn't really
want to mess with it.)
