Default How concerned should I be about mileage...

Granted it is a Honda, but an overwhelming majority of the ones for sale around my area are all high mileaged ones. Most are in the 40k range. Should I keep looking for one with low miles or are these engines the typical long lasting honda engines that the company is known for?
Thanks.

I would say the lower the mileage the better, that way theres less chance for the previous owner to screw it up. If all you can get is one with 40k, thats better than no S at all. About the reliability, the s2000 is considered to be one of the most reliable sports cars of all time. Provided you treat it well it should last a long time like other hondas.

You can find cars with lower mileage for sale even on this board. Look at the "for sale" area, maybe you'll find one in your state.

I just got my second S (wrecked the first one) and while shopping for it came across quite a few cars (year 2002/2003) with less than 25K miles. If you can find one with extended warranty or existing factory warranty that would be great.

As for the engine, I would not worry about it. Just make sure the clutch is fine.

This question has been asked before so if you do a search you can find more info/opinions.

Good luck!

If it has service records, I wouldn't worry too much about mileage.

As long as it's properly maintained, the car should last for a looong time.
