How do I store the car for the winter

Default How do I store the car for the winter

Im about to put the cover on it in a few weeks for the winter. I will change the oil before I do so, but is there anything else I should do?

Excellent,(and thorough) recommendations. I would add that if you live in an area of high humidity in late winter, you may want to consider a car bag and dessicants. The bag basically is reinforced polyethylene that zips up around the car. The dessicant will absorb any moisture that is present at the time the bag is closed. and the poly will prevent moisture in the air from condensing on cold objects, (brake rotors, ect.). I don't recall the url, but if you Google search for carbag you will get there

thanks for info.

i might have to store my car for a 1 year. anything different for that long of period then what you mention above??

some people suggested to lift all sides and take the wheels off.

is that a good idea?

Has anyone tried taking the "pressure" off the convertible top by unlatching the latches? Seems like that makes sense to me....takes some of the stress off the seams of the convertible top....
