Default how do I straighten the shift knob?

I just bought a 2003 S and the shift pattern does not line up with the knob is tightened. I expected there to be some kind of locking nut with the knob but this was not the case when i took it off to look at it. So how do i fix this without using loc tite as I will probably replace it later on down the road. Again, this is probably a dumb question but any help would be appreciated.

Buy some BLue Locktite...That way you can still get it off if you want to. Put it on the theeads screw the knob on and line it up. Let it sit overnight. Works perfect, that's what we do with the voodoo knobs

As others have said, the original's had a lock nut so you could make a proper alignment with the shift knob before tightening it. The aftermarket knobs such as Voodoo sit much lower on the shaft and too accomplish that the locking nut is removed first. The Voodoo's do not come with a shift pattern on them, so it's a non-issue. They use loctite in lieu of a nut.

I thought it probably did and maybe the previous owner took it off to get the knob to sit lower. Has anyone tried the RSX Type S aluminum knob that is available as an acura accessory? It has the same shift pattern and is about $45. Here is a pic:

Anyone have a pic of the voodoo knob or a link to where you can purchase them?
