I have had a titanium Citizen Eco-Drive watch for 5 years - absolutely no discoloration or tarnishing whatever. Titanium is extremely resistant to corrosion, and there should be no need for any polishing or finishing. It is also extremely hard, and has very high resistance to scratching.

P.S. In a few weeks, I will have a couple of small titanium rods inserted between my third and fourth lumbar vertebra (spinal fusion). If you can wait 20 or 30 years, we can have them pulled out post mortem, and we can check for staining and corrosion.

Jeez, good luck with that, Joe!

Ti is amazing though. The human body doesn't seem to mind its presence... One of the few materials around that can make that claim.

imo, the tips should be polished to keep them clean, but i dont know whether the spugen stuff will remove the blue (thats the part that shows your pipes have been smokin!- and thats what many folks want to have on their pipes).
I've seen "blue" tips right out of the box. I thought it was for "effect" so why would you want to get rid of it? It always seemed a little dorky to me that you would buy something brand new that already looked used but I guess blue tips are the "in" thing.

Are you guys Ti haters?

Shoot, I'd have an entire car made of Ti if I could; screw CF. No paint, no nuthin'. You could hit it with a torch and it would only look COOLER... That's my idea of durability. Call it bling if you want -- I'd take it!

Don't get me wrong...I love the functionality of Ti. It's light and strong as hell but come on now, the torch thing is completely bling bling

My titanium tips actually have more of a purple burn to them, not blue.

I was actually hoping they'd be blue... oh well though.
