Default How do you drive?

Today when I was driving home I looked at a few different cars and seen how everyone was steering. There was a lot of variation. So this led me to wonder, how does the majority drive? Normally if I'm driving a long distance, I use both on 10 and 2 so neither arm really gets tired but other times I just use my left hand. I even seen one person with their LEFT hand on the RIGHT side of the steering wheel...wtf.

I rest my left arm on the armrest, and hold somewhere between 6 and 9.

Which leads me to this...

I have always driven with left hand on 12 and right on shifter but for some reason, I always have both hands at 10 and 2 in my s.

Maybe it's the bulges in the wheel that psychosomatically make me put my hands there but unless I'm cruising on the highway, I'm at 10 and 2.

What scares me is the number of drivers I see who believe steering is all in the wrist. Drape an arm across the wheel and cruise, eh? I like to keep my hands on the wheel - both of them as much as possible. It's easy to become complacent about driving, but nobody ever should.

cruising: left hand on 7..or 8...right hand...where the e-brake is, but not with the intention of ever using it...it's just comfortable there...lol

If I'm just cruising, left hand at 8ish while resting elbow on door panel and right hand on shifter, if I'm hitting some twisties 10 and 2.

3 and 9 as much as possible. This makes handling in the turns easier. Otherwise 10 and 2 if I'm on a straight stretch.

I drive at around 4 and 8. I was taught this way from a driving instructor because police and other emergency services are taught to drive this way. Supposedly they drive like this because if you are moving at high speed and need to turn quickly you wont oversteer as much as if you drove with your hands on top of the wheel.
