Just curious after seeing the pics of the imola orange S2000. Audi has Imola (it's yellow), Bmw has Imola (it's red) and now honda has Imola and it's orange? how do three companies have three totally different colors named Imola?

I believe they use the names/locations of Formula 1 racetracks: Spa, Monte Carlo, Silverstone, Sebring all fit that mold. As far as how they assign actual colors to the names, I dunno.

I would guess that Honda, like most other car companys, lets the marketing department assign the names to the colors.

How does Behr or Glidden name their colors? They just pick what sounds good for the color. I hardly doubt Spa yellow was named for the color of the water in your spa after....well you know.
