How does it handle in rain? Does it fishtail a lot, or only when you accelerate on turns? You think the car would function well in minor snow up and down hills? I'm gonna get either a S2K or 2001 S4 in a few months, and trade in my CL-s, lookin for some help, thanks!

Considering it's been raining down here a LOT these past 2 weeks i've done pretty good. Last week i was heading up to a meet and it was POURING kept it at 57 and i was fine.. i know it's a bit slow but still didn't want to be suicidal as the vette passing me @ 80 was.. To each is own but if your tires aren't bald you should be OK!

Honestly...its all about one (or more) of 3 issues:
  • How much tread exists (or doesn't ) on your rear tires,
  • How hard the [demonic] driver might be willing to push the S2K's rear wheel drive, high-revving, 9.5"wide set of rear tires in a raining/slick set of conditions, and
  • Type of tire on the S2K's rears

Are there possibly more factors that could impact how well the S2K handles in rain? Sure...but in one manner or another, I believe the above three cover the gammet.

As for me, I have Kumho's on the rears...excellent rain center rain channel while still allowing an aggressive dry tread pattern. I *know* when I'm in a rainy/slick condition not to be an idget & foolishly push the S2K in the wet. And lastly, when I *did* have S0-2s and they *were* nearly racing slicks...if a driver ahead of me even spit on dry pavement, the rear end of my S2K would get squirrelly!

Now...if you can subscribe to rational thought regarding the above points...and you want a fun-a$$ car...get an S2000!!!

Mine handles great in the rain with decent tread on the tires. When they get bald driving in the rain in a straight line can be scary.

With a fairly new set of OEM S02s, my car handled beautifully on a rainy day at the track. Just takes a light touch.

Don't know, I've never driven mine in the rain.

NO! You might get away with very minor snow on the flat but NOT on any kind of incline. You must have dedicated snow tires.
As for rain - no problem. Just learn the car's limitations and your own driving limitations.
Here's my comical look at rain driving:
