Default How Effective is a Rear Wing?

Obviously it has no purpose on normal roads, but many say that its quite helpful on a track.

From my understanding, you would have to go very fast (100+ MPH) in order to see any type of benefit. Out of curiousity, preferebly from people who have experience, is there a dramatic difference in the way the car handles? And at what speeds do you feel a difference?

I would say it depends entirely on the wing you're speaking of. There are wings that simply reduce some drag, and there are wings that provide significant downforce. Some wings are adjustable, most are not.

Not speaking from experience, but I have heard people say that a good wing can provide stability on the highway at 60-80mph or so, and I can somewhat believe that. Beyond that, it would also depend on what other modifications you have done to the car.

No wing reduces drag. They all add drag.

it really depends on the car and shape of the wing vs clean air flow/height

rest assure, those CR areo piece are all wind tunnel tested and proven to work

J's wing has more down force but more drag. ASM has less downforce and less drag.

With that in mind, it'll make a big difference on track even at around 70-80.

I would imagine that it has a considerable difference especially on a convertible car with the top down.

Depends what you buy. There's a lot out there that provide good downforce, and then there's a lot out there that claim they provide downforce, but really just rice up your car.
