Default How fast can we go in REVERSE??? would VTEC kick in???

My girlfriend just asked this sort of bizarre question...! How fast can our S's go in reverse? Has anybody tried? does VTEC kick in??

Could be an offtopic question... but i thought it could also be an S2000 related question!!

THANKS,
KS

Yes VTEC will engage... car should get up to close to 50 miles per hour. I don't recommend trying this... unless you've got some pretty open spaces to work with.

wait, i thought reverse was even shorter than 1st gear, which means it would top out in the 30s

There was a thread a while back about drag racing in reverse. I think it was a sc s2k vs a na s2k.

reverse is taller than 1st.

I've hit the rev limiter in reverse!

For more fun, put the car in 1st got to 30mph then set cruise control

hmm i think we'd have some traction problems off the line during reverse drag runs. FWD Civics would dominate us!

We'll use the time machine (aka search feature) to go back almost 3 years for this thread:
