I hit 128 with it down. Felt as solid as a rock. Makes no difference to me whether its up or down in terms of confidence inspiring.

130 with the top down. Though I would not say I was feeling super safe, the car seems to 'hunker' down the faster you go...and is the only car I have owned that feels like it should go that fast because it feels so stable above 100 mph.

I would do it with the top up, but the TSB on the latches for my top was never done....high speeds are so noisy you can't hear yourself think afterwards.

the whipping wind starts to hurt (especially at 50ish degrees around 85-90 for me. i actually feel a bit safer going faster with the top down since I can see better what's around me.

never have the top up... and hit well over 120 several times- didnt notice the wind being any problem. in fact, the wind is one of the main reasons i have this car-
wind in my hair, and vtec in my ears!!
