Default How to get a Good price on a 07 ?

Is it possible to get a new one for under the MSRP ? Buying new online a good idea ?

I just sold my Honda Prelude that I bought new in 2001 and I would like to stick with Honda.

Thanks

I don't know where you live, but considering base MSRP is $34,250, Dest is $595, and wheel locks are $54 (per the "Build your S2000 website) and the fact I got my 2007 Silverstone out the door for $31,537 last week.....getting it under MSRP shouldn't be a problem.

I ended up e-mailing every Honda dealer in my area asking for a price. The best prices were within a few dollars of each other. I went to the one that had the color I wanted in stock and the deal was done in like 25 minutes.

Edit: I just pulled out my purchase agreement, fwiw my price before TTL was $29,326.

i agree..i went to 5 dealers via email and got what i wanted. now via carsdirect.com you can have a new one for something like 30,000plus tax and license, either way you win.

I started out with www.carsdirect.com. In my area, they offer $29,714 +TTL which I would have been OK with. When the e-mails started coming back from my local dealers at $29,3XX, I grabbed my wallet and took off out the door.

I don't think anyone is going to get a better deal than you did. I will shoot for it.

It really depends on the area where you live and the demand there. It seems the farther west you go, the higher the prices. I'm guessing because verts are becoming more popular in the sun states.

TTL here ends up about $4k. Seems yours is about half that. From what I've read here, average price before TTL is $30k. The problem I had was finding one with low miles. Looks like Honda doesn't provide a test drive beater for the S.

I wish I wouldn't have seen that carsdirect price...

Tempting.

People talk me out of it -- I've got a 2003 GPW with only 29,000 miles that I've had for 4 years....and that blue....
