Haaahahahaahaha. Unless you've got dedicated snow tires, and then they'd be tolerable. Fun, even. Just get real, real comfortable with power-on oversteer.

with proper snowtires, the only limitation is ground clearance. on soft and hardpacked snow, the S handles amazingly if you are easy on the throttle. if you push the gas pedal down a bit further, then it gets fun

we just had our first major snow of the year and i was rolling past SUVs that were stuck on hills

Good snow tires and you're good to go.

06+ with VDC and snow tires would be great in the snow.

Pretty much what everyone else has said, get good snow tires and you'll be fine. I live in Edmonton so I know Alberta winters all too well.

Although I do have a hardtop on mine, not sure if I'd want to drive it in the winter without one (particularly a 00-01 with the plastic rear window). However, if you have a newer model with the glass rear window and defroster then it probably wont be too bad.

I tried for one winter, but this year I decided not too. I am buying an AWD Subaru. I am trying now to keep my car clean, alot of rusted bolts, makes upgrades a pain. Previous owner most likely drove it in winter and did not wash the underside.

It's other drivers you have to watch out for.
