Default how to increase front-end VTEC sound

i have the AEM V2 and absolutely love the sound through VTEC but find myself wanting more. i researched exhaust set-ups and the tradeoff seems to be giving up the noticable vtec transition for a deeper all-around noise from the rear.

are there any other bolt-ons that increase power as well as noise upfront??

I don't know of any exhaust that makes you give up the vtec transition feel. Are you sure you read that right? Do you mean the difference in sound of the vtec transition? BTW, nothing is going to give you more noise up front other than a different intake, unless you hold your horn down at the same time.

the v2 is seriously the loudest intake I've heard on the s2k... maybe try a short ram, those are usually a bit louder.

it isn't the transition "feel" i am concerned with as that obviously wouldn't be compromised with an exhaust. i want more sound up front and i would guess that an aftermarket exhaust would be already so loud between 4k and 7k RPM that the sound when transitioning into vtec wouldn't be as noticable.

ITB's are another, albeit expensive option
