Default How low?

I have 18" s2r's (offset 51, and 63) and H&R coiliovers. Before I put the works on, my car was dumped, no fender gap at all. Now that thewheels are on, I have about 1 1/2 finger gap. The car is going in to be realligned tomorrow, and I'd like to have it adjusted down maybe 1/4-1/2 inch to fill the gap. How low is too low? It looks fantastic as is, but I feel like I won't be 100% satisfied until it's as low as I can go without rubbing. How do I know just how low I can go without running into any issues? BTW, I'm running 255/35 and 225/40.

I don't think we're going to be able to tell you how low you can go before you encounter any rubbing issues. You're just going to have to get fiddling with it until you find that "sweet spot." If I were you, I'd guesstimate it, then go out and do some hard turning and drive over a few speedbumps, and then if no rubbing, drop it a little more. Just keep doing that til you rub, then raise it up a notch past that, go get it aligned, and you're done.
