Default How to lower top manually without power?

So my car is in pieces, battery is also out of the car with the ground and power cables and I need to be able to lower and raise my top to take my seats out and have more room to work. I've searched around and can't find anything that is useful. Anybody know how to raise and lower the top fast without removing the motors?

I believe it's in your manual, you just have to disconnect the power cable going to the motors so that they don't put up resistance as you manually lower it.

According to the above advice, since the battery is removed you wouldn't have to remove any cables. There is no power going to the motors to provide the stated resistance.

I also tried to move my top manually the other day, except I was pulling it up to get clearance to remove the tray. I was only able to pull it up a few inches. I had to dig my battery out of storage and do it that way.

It can. Just take the motors off of the top from the inside.

Is there no disable switch? When one of the motors on my Eclipse started going out I was able to swith off the power top. It was a bit of a job raising and lowering, but worked
