How to lower top manually without power?

I think the manual mentions disconnecting the power supply then should be able to do it. I guess may\ybe a two man job. i sure cant do it by myself. i like the eclipse idea of a simple disable switch
i will just get an extra fuse and note where it goes also hope i dont need it.

Even without power, the motors provide significant resistance. They're pretty easy to remove even with the top installed.

With the motors removed, is it pretty easy to move manually (like a Miata)? I gutted my top a couple years ago and just go with a removable hardtop. But if I decide to ever put the soft top back in, I'd like to ditch the motors and just go manually...

It's more of a 2 man job with the power disconnected. You can do it alone but it will just some time and more sweat. I have moved it up and down many times without power ever since this thread. Needed help every time.
