I know that our fuel tank is 13.2 gal, but the most I have ever put in was 11.6 gallons, and my gauge was at 0 bars. What is the most that anyone has put into their car at one time?

 

I've also only put in about 10.7 gallons and this was after I was scared I was running on fumes.

Does anyone know how many miles you can get after the fuel light comes on? (of course it depends on driving style...)

The most I've ever pumped at 12.77 gallons. I've had several fillups where I am over 12 gallons:

12.37
12.10

I have a handful of fillups where I pumped over 10.75 gallons, as well....

 

Today i just put 13.1 i was very shock. And for some reason I was thinking the same question.

 

Just 'in' the car? Less than 11 so far.

The other night, however, I was on the phone and the gas pump shut off. I'm used to fitting another half gallon or so after that point in my SUVs. However, it don't work that way in the S2K, I found. I put about a half-gallon on the side of her before I realized what I was doing. Rushed home and wiped it all off.

 

Has anyone actually stalled the car cuz of no gas? I think they put the 0 bar very early so you avoid this.

 

nope, never ran out of gas, and the most i ever put in was 12.6x gallons. it seems most of the time, however, i'm putting in around 11 plus gallons. it's weird, if my fill-up is less than 11 gal. i feel like i cheated myself out of something. another thing that i find interesting is that driving around w/no bars doesn't even bother me. i do it routinely, unless i have someone riding shotgun whining about how if we run out of gas they're not gonna help push.(females)

 

There was a thread a couple of months ago about running out of gas. Seems like there were maybe 2 people who ran out and could get only about 12.2-12.5 gallons in afterwards. But that doesn't match up with Aldwin's 13.1. Several years ago, I bought some cheap gas somewhere and got about 2 more gallons in my Civic than I ever had before. Maybe these gas pumps don't always measure accurately.
