My car is bone stock and I change oil regularly (every 3,000 miles) and I get about 18-20 MPG. 75% of the time I shift at about 4,000-5,000 range and sometime hitting 7,000 mark but rarely hit redline. I don't know how some of you guys are getting past 250 MPG. I wish mine get at least 230 MPG cuz I am tired of filling gas at least once a week! Sometimes I wish this car has a bigger gas tank.

I've never filled up with less than 250 miles on the tank. Usually I go 260-270 miles and still have 2 bars on the gauge. I routinely caclulate my milage at 24+ mpg.

If your not going at least 250 miles before your next fill up either your not filling the tank until the pump cuts off (watch out many pumps can cut off earlier than others), you drive like a frikin' maniac, have a lot of stop and go driving, let your car warm up for several miinuts before driving, the gas you buy is giving poor milage, you fill up sooner than other people or maybe something is wrong with your car.

My point is there are so many variables that it's difficult to say why you might be or you might think your getting poor milage.

If you want to get a more accurate check of milage, at a minimum, you need to fill up at the same exact gas pump you filled up the previous time.

Man that is the lowest MPG I have heard of while driving that conservatively in the S. I would describe my driving habits about the way you did, and I average around 22 MPG. On my last tank, I fill up after getting 250 miles on the odometer (I reset it after every fill up). The most I could get in my tank was 10.5 gallons. That gave me a record (for me) 23.8 MPG.

how much would this affect the mileage by letting your car warm up? i like to warm up all my cars before i take off in the mornings. and if so what's a sufficient amout of time to let it warm up?

Dang I thought I was doing good... I get about 24-25 mpg with a lot of highway driving!

I go into VTEC at least once everytime I drive the car though... hehe. I can't help it.

I've only run 3 tanks of gas through the car, and I've gone 237, 244, and 245 miles each time.

The stock gas gauge sucks ass... It showed 1/4 tank left, and within 6 stop and go miles it has *0* bars left on the gauge!! I was pretty worried so I pulled into the closest gas station and it only ended up taking 10.2 gallons

How are you guys putting 11.5 gallons in the tank? Do you drive another 30-40 miles after 0 bars are showing on the gauge?
